What We Believe In
One of our core values here at WeVett is to Pursue Meaningful Connection Daily. It’s in our company’s DNA to care and connect with other people – in big ways and in small.
Every person we interact with is important, but there are a few causes that really hit home with us. We’ve created scholarship programs specifically with these in mind.
Veteran Suicide
Financial stress is a leading cause of Veteran suicide. We seek to help alleviate some of this stress by guiding military and Veterans towards wise, financially sound homeownership decisions.
Military Entrepreneurship
WeVett Home Loans and WeVett Realty were both started by entrepreneurs – a Veteran and military spouse respectively. Throughout our journey in the military we have been and continue to be inspired by the other entrepreneurs with roots in the military.
Military Spouse Employment
The unemployment rate for military spouses has stood near 24% for over a decade - six times the national average! This doesn’t even account for underemployed spouses. We are passionate about lowering this statistic and providing opportunities for military spouses to have meaningful careers that can stand up to the strain of the military lifestyle.

WeVett owners, Evan and Shannon Kaufman, are passionate supporters of business and entrepreneurship, especially in their hometown of Wichita, KS.
After experiencing their own difficult transition from military to civilian life and seeing countless other military members undergo the same challenges, Evan and Shannon decided to create a scholarship fund to help other recently separated military members integrate back into society.
Their goal is to help support veteran education in business, sales and entrepreneurship, empower veterans to find or create work that excites and motivates them, and encourage students to consider planting roots – for both business and life – in Wichita.
